2. Rules of Bingo
Most in-game rules and guidelines regarding bingo play are bound by the game pattern and name. Those explain how you must play and what qualifies a win. Other general establishment rules that apply generally across the board aren't necessarily game applicable, but important enough to even effect the game's end result! The following are general rules that you should know.
If you have a bingo you must alert the game facilitators.
Unfortunately, 99% of bingo establishments will not go looking for a winner. This even includes those with computer operated games. If you get a bingo it is your duty to inform the operator, and to do this before the next number is called. This leads to the next rule.
You must bingo on the last number called.
If you realize you have a bingo on say B-11, but don't call out BINGO! Until they call the next number, you will more often than not forfeit your bingo.
The Caller's ball rack is the official indicator, not the lighted number board.
The floor Manager's decision is final regarding any questions concerning any game.
No cash pay outs will be made after the date on which the game was played.
You cannot share a bingo card/game.
Pretty clear here. Establishments are trying to raise money win they hold bingos. If you or others share a game card, then the establishment thinks they are loosing money. On some occasions personal care staff have been know to get the OK to help someone who otherwise would have difficulty playing on their own.
Reserving seating is often prohibited, and is a first come, first served basis.
Non players are not allowed in the bingo area.
Alcoholic beverages, and often cigarettes, are not allowed on premises.
All cards in play must be purchased on the premises on the day of play.
No one under 18 years of age is permitted to play.
Many places will not allow anyone under the age of 18 into the facility.
Children are not allowed in the bingo area.
Ink daubers must be used on all cards for marking numbers.
Some bingo establishments with high winnings don't allow you to mark the cards at all!
